Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze how the website is used.

We have enabled IP anonymization so that your IP address is shortened by Google within the European Union. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Contact and Demo Form

Through the "Book a Demo" form on our website, you can contact us to arrange a demo conversation. The following data can be provided:

• Name (required)
• Email address (required)
• Company (optional)
• Product interest (optional, e.g. Klarvos, Enterprise API, DATEVconnect Gateway, DATEVconnect MCP Server)
• Message (optional)

The data is used exclusively to process your request and to contact you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures). The data is not shared with third parties unless required by law.

Klardaten DATEV ChatGPT App, DATEVconnect MCP Server, and other MCP/LLM clients

When you use the Klardaten DATEV ChatGPT app, the DATEVconnect MCP Server, or another MCP/LLM client selected by you, Klardaten processes data to authenticate your connection, verify your permissions, and perform read-only DATEV lookups. The app cannot create, modify, or delete data in DATEV. The client selected by you, such as ChatGPT/OpenAI or Claude, receives tool inputs and tool results because you use that client for these requests.

The following data can be visible to the selected MCP/LLM client:

• Tool inputs, such as selected DATEV resources, filters, paging, and field-selection parameters.
• Tool results and DATEV records the authenticated user is authorized to read, including master and contact data, client and permission metadata, accounting records, DMS document metadata and files, order-management data, and payroll and employee data where the DATEV system and permissions allow it.
• Temporary download links and related metadata, such as file name, MIME type, file size, expiry time, and delivery mode, where returned as a tool result.

The following data is processed internally by Klardaten but is not returned as normal tool responses to the selected MCP/LLM client:

• OAuth and session connection data, such as Klardaten user, organization, and account identifiers, DATEV instance and profile identifiers, and technical tokens.
• MCP HTTP session data, internal request and correlation identifiers, operational and security logs, such as timestamps, status codes, technical error codes, request types, and diagnostic data.

The purposes of processing are authentication and authorization, performing the read-only DATEV lookups requested by the user, delivering temporary DMS download links, service security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, customer support, and compliance with legal obligations. The legal basis is, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract performance or pre-contractual steps, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for secure operation, support, and abuse prevention, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for legal obligations. Where Klardaten processes data on behalf of a customer, Klardaten acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.

Recipients include OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude, or another MCP/LLM client selected by you for tool inputs and tool results, Klardaten service infrastructure and subprocessors, and other recipients where legally required. The selected MCP/LLM client is chosen by you; its own processing is governed by that client's terms. DATEV payloads are generally not stored by Klardaten as persistent application data. Routine or full operational logs are retained for 14 days; access and audit logs are retained for 90 days. OAuth sessions expire by default after 30 days, and MCP HTTP sessions expire after 4 hours. Temporary download links are single-use and expire by default after 3 minutes. Support and legal records are retained only as long as required for the relevant purpose or legal obligation.

You can disconnect or revoke the ChatGPT app, the MCP/LLM client in use, or the OAuth connection, limit permissions in Klardaten or DATEV, and request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. Contact: info@klardaten.com.
