Read-only DATEV access through MCP

Access to five DATEV modules

More than 100 data resources from Accounting, DMS, Master Data, Order Management, and Payroll are available through one MCP server.

Read-only access

MCP tools can retrieve and analyze information but cannot create, change, or delete data in DATEV. Existing user permissions and profiles remain part of the access model.

OAuth authentication

Compatible clients connect through remote MCP and OAuth 2.1. A custom integration for each AI assistant therefore does not need to be developed.

How it works

From DATEV to your assistant in three steps

The MCP extension uses the DATEVconnect Gateway as its connection layer. The tax firm defines who may use the MCP server and which DATEV profile applies.

    Connect the DATEV environment

    The DATEVconnect Gateway is installed in the firm's DATEV environment and the connection is tested before use.

    Authorize users and profiles

    Define who may connect and which DATEV user context or profile should apply to requests.

    Connect the AI tool with OAuth

    Add the Klardaten MCP endpoint in the chosen client, complete the OAuth flow, and select the DATEV tools the user needs.

Separate product

Klarvos instead of an external AI platform

Klarvos is a separate Klardaten product. DATEV access, AI chat, and workflows are already integrated in one application. An external AI platform such as Langdock and a separate MCP setup are not required.
