Extended Access for Complex Use Cases
Access DATEV desktop data beyond standard DATEVconnect coverage where technically and contractually possible, for example in accounting, tax programs, LODAS, reporting systems, ProCheck, and related DATEV desktop areas. The exact scope depends on the customer's DATEV environment, licenses, permissions, and use case.
Custom adaptations are possible – either by us or within your company. For teams and partners that want to connect assistant-style tools, we also offer an MCP server on top of the API.
Use Cases
Our customers use the API for different applications. The following examples show typical directions. If a specific data point is missing from standard DATEVconnect coverage, we assess the viable access path and extend the interface where the setup allows it.
1. Controlling / Power BI Integration
Connect DATEV data with Power BI to create meaningful analyses and comparisons. Our API enables automated transfer of financial and accounting data into dashboards. This allows you to analyze and compare key figures at the firm, employee, or activity level – both within a firm and across multiple locations.

Automatically check corporate tax assessments by directly comparing them with DATEV data. Our API provides access to relevant information from entry forms and calculation lists, enabling you to quickly identify discrepancies and reduce manual verification efforts.
3. Onboarding Data Preparation
Prepare, validate, and structure master data from upstream systems so onboarding can use the safest available handoff path. Depending on the setup, that can mean DATEV-supported imports, review workflows, or integration with an existing system of record rather than bypassing supported paths.
