Connector Installation Manual

General Requirements

Before installation, the following prerequisites should be met:

• Administrator access: Administrator privileges are required on the system for installation.
• DATEVconnect access: The user must be able to access DATEV through the DATEVconnect interface.
• Network drive: Access to the DATEV network drive, usually L:\, must be available.
• Network access: The system must allow inbound and outbound traffic to api.klardaten.com and nats.klardaten.com on port 443.

Choose the installation path

There are two technical ways to install the Klardaten DATEV Connector:

1. Installation via UI: Run the installer normally and follow the on-screen steps.
2. Command-line installation: Run the installer unattended with flags and configuration values.

The concrete command-line parameters are documented in the Command Line Installation chapter.

Independently of that, choose one of the following two setup paths before you start:

• Standard installation: Use this path if the installer should create the required Windows user and DATEV user automatically.
• Existing user: Use this path if a Windows user and the linked DATEV user already exist and should be reused.
