Uninstallation

Standard removal via Windows, command-line options, and manual cleanup steps for the Klardaten DATEV Connector.

Standard removal via Windows

The application can be uninstalled normally through Apps & Features or the installed apps list in Windows.

This is usually the simplest and recommended way.

Uninstallation via the command line

If you want to control the uninstallation through parameters, the following options are available:

  • --uninstall-service: Stops and removes the Windows service Klardaten DATEV Connector.
  • --uninstall-datev-user: Deletes the Windows user klardaten and the linked DATEV user.
  • --uninstall-files: Deletes the installed application and the configuration files.
  • --uninstall: Short form for --uninstall-datev-user and --uninstall-service.

Manual cleanup

If you want to verify or clean up the uninstallation manually, this order is recommended:

  1. Check whether the service Klardaten DATEV Connector was actually removed.
  2. Check whether the installation directory was deleted.
  3. Check whether the user klardaten still exists in Windows and DATEV if those accounts were supposed to be removed.
